Cheri Polk is the Illustrator and Designer of A Bed For Fred. Cheri has been a passionate artist since the age of 10 when she picked up her first set of colored pencils. With over 30 years of commercial graphics experience, a background in photography, illustration and portrait art as well as audio/visual editing and compilation, makes Cheri a modern renaissance woman.
Her intrinsic flair has lead her unique works to be commissioned by private estates, collectors and notable landmark architecture including, the world-famous, historical city of Lily Dale, NY.
Cheri studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art. She is also mentored by Bill Kufahl (internationally recognized portrait artist). Through Cheri’s artistic creations and eclectic interests, she has traveled and studied throughout North America and Southeast Asia. Cheri’s mediums of choice are pen & ink, graphite and watercolor.
Cheri resides in suburban Cleveland, OH where she runs her art studio. A Bed for Fred marks Cheri’s first published children’s book.
